Unpaid Invoice
Specialised Property Fencing approved and paid a deposit for a 1 off custom aluminium gate designed by them. This gate was approved and fabricated to the specifications provided by Specialised Property Fencing.
The gate was delivered to site for free as an added gesture rather than picked up as quoted.
Specialised Property Fencing took delivery of the gate and were more than happy to install the gate on their client's property.
After installation the owner of Specialised Property Fencing realised that no information of the unlevel was ground was passed on prior to fabrication. As the fabricator we were asked to offer advice on a solution. Unfortunately, the solution was a new gate order. A discounted new gate was offered as another kind gesture even though the mistake was not made by us.
Further down the track Specialised Property Fencing's client brought a few small quality issues to light after the gate was installed. We offered to pick the gate up, have all quality issues amended, have the gate re powder coated and delivered back to site. This was turned down by the owner of Specialised Property Fencing and it was stated that the gate is no good to them at all because of the uneven ground situation. So amending the quality concerns will not help. This is where a dollar amount of $1000 was also offered as compensation if the quality issues are not to be rectified. $1000 was nominated as a generous value given the cost to us was going to be $740.
No acceptance of either offer was received.
The next communication was an email from Specialised Property Fencing demanding a full refund and stating that a truck had been organised to return the gate and further demands enforcing a full refund. A reply email from us explained that given the custom 1 off nature of the gate and given that the gate was built to the specifications and design provided by Specialised Property Fencing meant that a full refund was not acceptable. The repair to quality concerns or compensation was again offered.
Specialised Property Fencing is now not answering phone calls or emails and still has an unpaid invoice.
