LATITUDE PROPERTIES LIMITED

Latitude Properties Limited hired us to complete unit repairs at a property in Kitchener. The job was quoted and approved by the parties involved.
The work was started, finished on time and invoiced September 28, 2023.
An associate from Latitude completed a walkthrough of the unit and noted some discrepancies. We were given the opportunity to repair these as per our quote.
The repairs were done on October 11, 2023. The associate then went in to inspect on October 13, 2023. We heard no follow-up response to the second walkthrough.
When it came time for payment, which we had to inquire about on October 25, 2023, they said it would be sent soon.
The payment came in minus the aforementioned funds because the "owner" hired another contractor to paint. We were not given the opportunity to repair any further discrepancies because we were not told of any.

When we inquired about why they were withholding the funds they stated that the home owner hired another painter to paint the walls because areas were not repaired (ie. a few scratches, nail holes, etc) before painting.
These repairs were never requested so our quote price reflected as much.
They dropped the amount owed by half, that they were willing to pay.
We countered taking $600.00 (before taxes) off the bill, which they refused and came back with a final offer of $2000.00.
We requested a meet up with the parties at Latitude to discuss options, which was met with silence.
