Retained consulting services … then ghosted

In March of 2022 I was hired to provide recruitment consultancy services by the president and CEO. To help the client I offered a significantly discounted fee and even included a third placement for free. I quickly went to work on providing qualified vetted candidates for interview. The first placement was made within the first month. I then went to work on submitting dozens of other candidates for the remaining 2 positions as per our retained contract. The CEO who was my main contact started dodging my calls and avoiding emails, texts and any form of communication since approx September, following requests for final interviews of top candidates. I sent intermittent messages, calls, emails etc over a period of 8-12 weeks all without any acknowledgment or response. My services were rendered and provided as I set out to perform but when it came time for the client to pay they ghosted not only me but my candidates as well tarnishing my name and reputation needlessly causing undue damage to my business and financial hardship as well.

Attempts to resolve dispute:

Sent the original invoice. Then sent 3 reminders. Emailed called and texted to follow up no response. Sent a registered demand letter and hired a lawyer who also sent a letter all without any form of acknowledgment or response. There has been no attempt to communicate some form of recompense from the President who continues to ignore all my communications.
