Blackmail and theft by MGBL of Marksbury
We took on MGBL from Marksbury to build our domestic extension in Bath. 8 days into the works 24h after paying him £ 26 500 he walked off site and refused to return unless we re negotiated the contract and paid him more money. We terminated the contract and asked for the return of the money .We informed him that we would pay fairly for the 8 days of work completed. He has refused to return any money to us -including £ 9100 that is not in dispute unless we sign a waiver that he has written which removes all of our legal and contractual rights.
Attempts to resolve dispute:
He has refuseed to speak to us or meet with us. He only communicates through an elderly man who works at Cousins Thomas Rose. He has not acnowledged our offers to meet , mediate or embark on dispute resolution
