Improper installation of roof lantern leading to leakage and extensive to damage to room
Following change of conservatory roof to warm roof and lantern I noticed damp patches appearing. I contacted the company on more than 20 occasions which they did not respond to. The ceiling by the lantern started to leak every time it rained. This has progressed significantly and caused extensive mould and eventually led to the ceiling collapsing. The builder insisted it was nothing to do with their work. Having had several builders review the problem they have said the installation of the lantern was substandard. I have just had to pull down the rest of the ceiling and it is now obvious that the lantern is letting in the rainwater.
Attempts to resolve dispute:
Over 20 text messages, emails, phone calls and asking the builder to enter into alternative dispute resolution over a period of 12 months.
