Dispute details:

Unpaid Invoice

Having once been a Kitchen Love employee as a kitchen sales/designer, I recently took the decision to go freelance whilst being contracted out by Kitchen Love continuing that level of service. However, over recent weeks it quickly became apparent that the Owner/MD (one of many titles used by this individual!) was telling conflicting stories regarding the ordering and delivery of customer kitchens. When questioned by customers on these issues I was told by the owner not to engage with the customers and that it would be dealt with by him, this wasn't the case as he continued with the conflicting stories. As this started putting me in an uncomfortable position, I decided to cease my services with Kitchen Love and submit my final invoice for the works completed. I had sent this request 3 times to two separate email addresses giving Kitchen Love more than reasonable timescales to action the invoice but unfortunately each attempt fell on deaf ears. Rather than continue with the attempts, I decided to approach and instruct a debt collection company to assist with this matter. Since the involvement of this company the owner seems to have regained his voice, and not in a good way either. His threats to the debt collection company and the defamation of character that he has placed on me throughout the process clearly shows the true colours of this individual. In order to avoid full payment of the invoice he has also started to create some interesting stories as to how much things cost due to errors made with my time at Kitchen Love. Equally this individual has started to stipulate his success rate at court with similar cases which again only reinforces how this individual works as a human being/business owner.

Attempts to resolve dispute:
